The delegation of Tatarstan visited the Chinese Automobile plant BYD

Within the third day of visit to People's Republic of China the delegation of Tatarstan visited one of the largest automobile plants of China – the BYD company (Build your dream).
During a meeting with delegation the management of the BYD company shared information on strategic plans of the company, on localization of capacities in Brazil, the USA and India, new development in the field of cars and buses on electric to the course. In particular, the area manager of BYD on the CIS countries Maxim Ma reported about plans for localization of autoproduction. As for the state stimulation of release of electric cars, representatives of the company reported that upon purchase of the electric car over 60 kW the state compensates 20 thousand US dollars. Thanks to these measures of stimulation already now of China and Hong Kong more than 70 thousand electrobuses are operated on roads. In turn the Association of mechanicians of Zakamya at the Kamsky cluster suggested to organize cooperation regarding localization of a number of autocomponents on a production site of BYD in Russia.
We will remind that the delegation of Tatarstan into which representatives of manufacturing enterprises , of the leading republican HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS and the infrastructure organizations of support of business of the Kamsky cluster entered, is on an official visit in People's Republic of China for the purpose of studying of cluster policy of Provinces of Guandzhou, Shenzhen and the special administrative territory of Hong Kong, and also adjustment of cooperation with the leading machine-building enterprises and educational institutions of the People's Republic of China
As part of the program, the Minister visited the Arsky Industrial Park, where he got acquainted with the current activities and long-term plans of the residents. During the inspection of the production facilities, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a substantive discussion with the heads of enterprises on capacity expansion and improving the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
Applications for the Start-Digital Technologies-1 competition (turn 2) are being accepted on the website of the Innovation Promotion Foundation until February 24. Individuals and legal entities, small business entities, can participate in it.
Rustem Mukhamedshin, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a large–scale event - the strategic session of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on January 30, 2026 in Kazan at the Entrepreneur's House.
