Till April 15 in Kazan there takes place the multimedia exhibition "Ideas 2020. Travel to the world of the future"

The Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Tatarstan reminds that till April 15, 2015 in Kazan there takes place the multimedia exhibition "Ideas 2020. Travel to the world of the future".
"Ideas 2020. Travel to the world of the future" is opportunity to learn about what will be the person of the future, in what cities he will live, than to eat and what energy to use.
The Ideas 2020 project represents researches of the German scientists in different areas of science. Travel to the world of the future is presented in the form of seven columns issued by designers and artists.
On 14 terminals more than 150 research projects of various research institutes and the organizations of Germany will be shown. On a multimedia table guests of an exhibition will be able to formulate questions concerning the future and to watch videos about value of science for society.
The exhibition already visited 27 cities of Germany where it was attended by more than 50 000 people. From February 11 to March 15, 2015 the exposition was based in Moscow.
The exhibition suggests to think of questions answers on which will define our future:
1. Life in big cities. What we it imagine? Would we like to live in pure and safe megalopolises in which architects build beautiful and "clever" houses, engineers rationally spend the electric power, and citizens don't suffer from lack of wildlife
2. Future Internet. In what purposes we will use virtual networks? Whether can happen so, what, having refused completely real communication, we will be dissolved in virtual space, we will lose the identity? How to protect virtual data?
3. Innovative technologies. We live on the eve of the Fourth industrial revolution (or Industry 4.0). On what plants of the future will be similar? Whether we will be able to create waste-free productions? Whether the person will be involved in these processes or all functions will assume robots?
4. Alternative power engineering. Extracting oil and gas, we break natural structure of our planet. Whether there are other power sources which equally would suit both ecologists, and power engineering specialists?
5. Biofuel. Whether it is possible to make waste useful? Whether there can to be, for example, seaweed cast by a storm ashore new aviation fuel?
6. Medicine. To survive in the future, we have to be healthy and strong. How to avoid pandemics? What has to be health system? What way of life suits everyone, and what is shown only to residents of big cities?
7. Longevity. How to prolong life? Whether there are ways to remain healthy and active about the most advanced years? How to increase quality of life of elderly people, to make their life interesting and comfortable?

Partners in the Republic of Tatarstan: The Kazan national research technical university of A.N. Tupolev (KNITU-KAI), the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Tatarstan.
As part of the program, the Minister visited the Arsky Industrial Park, where he got acquainted with the current activities and long-term plans of the residents. During the inspection of the production facilities, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a substantive discussion with the heads of enterprises on capacity expansion and improving the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
Applications for the Start-Digital Technologies-1 competition (turn 2) are being accepted on the website of the Innovation Promotion Foundation until February 24. Individuals and legal entities, small business entities, can participate in it.
Rustem Mukhamedshin, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a large–scale event - the strategic session of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on January 30, 2026 in Kazan at the Entrepreneur's House.
