The Minister of Economy Artyom Zdunov discussed with representatives of the Japanese companies a question of creation of RIKEN-eidos joint venture for development and production of systems of genetic express diagnostics

On October 27, 2014 the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Artyom Zdunov held meeting with representatives of the Japanese companies RIKEN and DNAFORM concerning creation of RIKEN-eidos joint venture for development and production of systems of genetic express diagnostics. The director of the Innovative program of transmitting medicine and diagnostics (PMI) of a network of RIKEN institutes (Japan), honourable professor of Carolinian institute (Sweden) and Kvislend university (Australia) doctor Yoshikhide Hayashizaki, the director of the international patent bureau, the board member of the DNAFORM company Koichiro Tsudzhimar and the CEO of JSC Eydos-Meditsina Lenar Valeev participated in a meeting.

During a meeting questions of perspective cooperation in genomic researches, developments of biomedical researches were considered. At a meeting Japanese colleagues told about experience of Institute of Kobe which quite recently successfully performed the first operation on application of stem cells for regeneration of a human retina.


The Minister of Economy Artyom Zdunov noted importance and prospects of this project from the point of view of social effect, and from the economic point of view, and also interest of the Republic of Tatarstan in development of modern innovative directions, including in a field of biomedicine.
