The SME Corporation has brought limits totaling 15 billion rubles to partner banks under the umbrella guarantee program for small and medium-sized businesses. Using this government tool for business development, entrepreneurs will be able to receive at least 30 billion rubles in loans in the first quarter of 2025. The mechanism of "umbrella" guarantees has been implemented since 2025 under the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
In Tatarstan, entrepreneurs can receive financing for investment purposes, replenishment of working capital, business development and other tasks by contacting the following banks: Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, T-Bank, VTB, SME Bank, Promsvyazbank, Sovcombank, DOM RF Bank, GPB Bank, Uralsib, Ak Bars Bank, Zenit.
In 2024, the volume of support for entrepreneurs of the republic with the involvement of "umbrella" state guarantees amounted to 22 billion rubles. The region has entered the top 10 in terms of loans with umbrella guarantees.
Umbrella guarantees allow businesses to obtain the necessary debt financing in the absence or shortage of collateral. This product is one of the most effective and sought after tools for SME development, and is included in the updated development strategy of the SME Corporation," said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of the SME Corporation. — It is planned that due to this tool, by 2030, small and medium-sized businesses will be able to attract at least 1.3 trillion rubles in the form of bank loans."
Since 2022, umbrella guarantees have become the main instrument of guarantee support for SME Corporations. This change was implemented on behalf of President Vladimir Putin.
At the end of 2024, a law was passed extending the implementation period of the umbrella guarantee mechanism, without which every third loan would not have been available to entrepreneurs.
It should be recalled that the "umbrella" guarantees of the SME Corporation cover up to 50% of the amount of the bank loan. The amount of one guarantee can reach 1 billion rubles for a period of up to 10 years.
