The city of Nizhnekamsk was visited by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov on a working visit today. During the visit, he took part in the opening exercises dedicated to the Day of Knowledge, and congratulated schoolchildren and students of the city on the new academic year.
The new academic year at the Nizhnekamsk Institute of Chemical Technology began solemnly - it opened its doors after a large-scale modernization. Major repairs have been completed in the main academic building this year. The roof was renovated here, interior finishing works were carried out, engineering networks were replaced and modern equipment was installed in laboratories. The educational institution was renovated on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Sibur company.
The opening ceremony of the renovated educational institution was attended by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.
"The education system in Tatarstan is one of the leading in the country today. Of course, the high level of graduate training is achieved thanks to our professional teachers. About 80 thousand teachers are working in Tatarstan today," Midhat Shagiakhmetov stressed. – I would also like to mention entrepreneurial initiatives in the field of education - we see the contribution Sibur makes to the training of industry specialists. Such a symbiosis is an investment in the development of human resources and the future growth of enterprises, the city and the republic."
The Minister also visited the opening exercises at MBOU Boarding School No. 13 and the Tatarstan Cadet Corps of the Volga Federal District. In a welcoming speech on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, he congratulated everyone on the Day of Knowledge, wished them success in their studies, self-confidence, bright aspirations and victories.
Let us recall, according to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, within the framework of the national project "Education" in the region, the material and technical base of 72 rural schools has been updated this year.
Earlier, the Ministry of Economy reported that in the new academic year, 11 thousand Tatarstan schoolchildren will be trained in entrepreneurial competencies within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship". The School Business Start program has been implemented in Tatarstan since 2022, its activities have covered 23,100 students of grades 5-7 from cities and districts of the republic.
