The results of the implementation of national projects in Tatarstan over 5 years

In 2018, President Vladimir Putin decided that national projects should become an effective tool for achieving the national development goals of the Russian Federation (preservation of the population, health and well-being of people; opportunities for self-realization and talent development; a comfortable and safe living environment; decent, effective work and successful entrepreneurship; digital transformation) which are primarily aimed at improving living standards and creating comfortable conditions for the population and the country as a whole.

Since 2019, the Republic of Tatarstan has been involved in the implementation of all national projects focused on priority areas:

- "Human Capital" (NPO "Healthcare", "Education", "Demography", "Culture", "Science and Universities");

- "Comfortable living environment" (NPO "Housing and urban environment", "Ecology", "Safe high-quality roads", "Tourism and hospitality industry");

- "Economic growth" (NPO "SMEs and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative", "Digital Economy", "Labor Productivity", "International cooperation and export").

For 5 years, thanks to national projects, construction, reconstruction and repair of 1,480 socially significant facilities were actively carried out in all regions of Tatarstan. A number of activities have also been carried out that have contributed to the achievement of targets and results for regional projects.

Thus, 255 healthcare facilities have been modernized and built, including FASs, polyclinics, hospitals and outpatient facilities.

80 general education institutions were built, including schools and kindergartens, which were equipped with modern digital equipment that makes the learning process not only interesting, but also creative. The availability of preschool education in the region has reached 100%, and more than 80% of children aged 5 to 18 have the opportunity to receive additional education.

77 sports facilities were built and equipped, including planar structures, sports palaces and GTO grounds, which made it possible to ensure the growing desire of the population for a healthy lifestyle. More than 62% of the republic's residents have the opportunity to systematically engage in physical education and sports.

The changes also affected cultural objects. 60 cultural institutions have been renovated and built, including children's art schools, rural cultural centers, theaters, libraries and museums.

More than 260 public spaces, parks and squares have been landscaped, thanks to which the appearance of republican cities has changed.

The quality of the road infrastructure has improved – about 650 highways and driveways have been built and repaired.

Measures have been taken to improve the environmental situation in the republic through the elimination of landfills and silt fields, the clearing of water bodies, as well as the construction of large biological treatment facilities.

National projects are being implemented in Russia by decree of President Vladimir Putin, 180.9 billion rubles have been allocated for their implementation over 5 years, of which 50.7 billion rubles have been allocated from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan.
