More than 198 billion rubles were received by small and medium-sized businesses under the Credit Incentive Program (CIP), which is jointly implemented by the Bank of Russia and the SME Corporation. Tatarstan entered the top five leading regions in terms of business support under this program - the republic accounted for about 9 billion rubles.
The SME Corporation noted that with the use of this state support measure in January-October 2023, entrepreneurs received preferential financing under more than 5 thousand loan agreements.
"Most of the preferential funds were received by small and medium-sized enterprises belonging to the real sector of the economy. Manufacturing industries with a total amount of 78.5 billion rubles became the absolute leader in terms of lending within the framework of the CIP. This is followed by trade – 38.5 billion rubles, transportation and storage – 36.2 billion rubles. Hotels and catering complete the top five. The top industries also include scientific and technical activities, culture and sports, agriculture," said Alexander Isaevich, General Director of the SME Corporation.
In the regional context, Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Moscow Region were among the leaders for the first 10 months of this year, the Sverdlovsk Region and the Republic of Tatarstan are also among the leading subjects of the Russian Federation.
Let us recall that the program to stimulate lending is being implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship", which was initiated by President Vladimir Putin and overseen by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov.
