At the expense of VEB.RF – more than 320 million rubles - engineering and transport infrastructure facilities will be built in the Zelenodolsk Industrial Park of the Republic of Tatarstan. As a result of the project, the infrastructure necessary for the functioning of the wholesale distribution center Ozon, a large-scale investment project, will be created. At the expense of a VEB.RF subsidy the authorities of the Republic of the Russian Federation will build networks of household drinking and fire-fighting water supply, household and rain sewers, heat supply networks, power saving, as well as a highway.
"A lot has already been done by the VEB Group in the single-industry towns of the Republic – 23 projects totaling more than 7.6 billion rubles are supported, which is more than 13 thousand new jobs. We have already built infrastructure in the Zelenodolsk Industrial Park, to which 11 production facilities have already been connected. The project continues to gain momentum," said VEB.RF Chief Managing Partner for Urban Development Irina Makieva.
"Tatarstan is implementing major investment projects by creating favorable conditions for attracting investments, creating modern industrial and production complexes on the territory that meet international standards. In addition, the republic is a convenient logistics center of the European part of Russia. I would like to thank VEB.RF for support in the implementation of this project. Much has already been done in the republic under the Corporation's programs. I am sure that we will continue further development of infrastructure for investment projects," said Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov.
The implementation of the investment project will increase allocations to budgets of all levels and extra-budgetary funds by the developer of the Romex Group project to 1.5 billion rubles by 2037, as well as ensure an annual increase in the turnover of the retail share of trade and the share of online commerce by 5%, the number of marketplace participants by 10%, as well as accelerate the delivery of goods in the Republic of Tatarstan and neighboring regions.
The total cost of infrastructure construction will be about 500 million rubles. The implementation of the project will help reduce the outflow of the population from the single-industry town, as well as attract new personnel from neighboring districts and regions.
