More than 11 thousand children from Tatarstan took part in an educational program about entrepreneurship

During the two autumn months, schoolchildren from different cities and settlements of the regions of the republic studied the basics of entrepreneurship according to a program specially developed for them. The training took place in general education institutions in the format of a business game. The guys drew up a portrait of an entrepreneur and passed special testing, as well as presented their own projects, having previously prepared a business plan and developed a PR campaign.

let us recall that a large-scale republican program "School Business Start" is being implemented in Tatarstan for the second year. It is organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In 2023, more than 11 thousand children from 28 districts of the republic take part in the project aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills and competencies among schoolchildren. 

As a result, 600 high school students who showed themselves most successfully moved on to the next round of business design. These are schoolchildren from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as from villages and small towns of the republic.  In the near future, they will begin an in-depth study of entrepreneurship, consisting of theoretical and practical parts, while successful entrepreneurs will be engaged with children. The second stage of the "School Business Start" will end with a presentation at team seminars of their own entrepreneurial projects. The culmination will be a charity fair on the eve of the New Year, where young entrepreneurs will meet with their competitors and consumers of their product. 

The final stage - the Business Case Championship – will be held in early February 2024. Teams that have successfully passed the previous stage will be able to take part in it. The final meeting of school business companies is scheduled for April 2024. 120 students will take part in it. The winners of the project will be 30 schoolchildren from three teams. They will have a super prize – a trip to Moscow with a visit to the Skolkovo technopark, they will also visit the Gorky Film Studio, where they will participate in the creation of their promotional video.

"Following the results of the first year of the program, we received a lot of positive feedback: both from teachers and from children and their parents.  The program under which the training takes place is really very interesting and rich. We invite various experts, including entrepreneurs, because no one can tell you better about how to become an entrepreneur than the entrepreneur himself," First Deputy Minister - Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship Development Natalia Kondratova.
