11 thousand schoolchildren will be taught entrepreneurial skills in Tatarstan
Tatarstan schools are once again starting training under the Republican program "School Business Start". In the new academic year, the course implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship" will cover more than 11 thousand children and will continue to lay the foundations of business skills in secondary school. The organizers of the School Business Start program are the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
"The last academic year clearly showed the relevance of the program. We have taught the basics of entrepreneurship to 12 thousand children, many of them have created their own projects, talked with adult entrepreneurs, received revenue and shared their earnings at a charity fair, proving themselves as real businessmen. This year the program will cover more than 11 thousand children from different parts of the republic! This suggests that we are building a new generation of business leaders right now," Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, has repeatedly spoken about the importance of this process. We wish the participants of the program productive work this academic year," said the First Deputy of the Economy of the Republic of TatarstanNatalia Kondratova.
Classes at the first stage of the project will be held in the format of a business game and will cover schools from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Agryzsky, Aznakaevsky, Aksubaevsky, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, Bavlinsky, Zainsky, Mamadyshsky, Nurlatsky, Sarmanovsky, Spassky, Tukayevsky, Yelabuga, Bugulminsky, Zelenodolsk, Vysokogorsky, Pestrechinsky, Alekseevsky, Kukmor, Arsky, Buinsky, Tetyushsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Chistopolsky, Kaibitsky, Sabinsky, Laishevsky, Tyulyachinsky districts.
"Our task is to reveal the entrepreneur's talent in children all over the republic. After all, often many of them do not even think about the fact that they can choose this profession. And our republic needs entrepreneurs: they are independent, bright, responsible individuals who create a new world around themselves. We want to prepare Tatarstan schoolchildren for adulthood, show how interesting it can be, instill responsibility in them, teach them to work in a team and give them the opportunity to create their first business," says the head of the School Business Start project Elena Tikhonova.
Classes will be held in several stages. At the first of them, in September-October, the guys, divided into groups of 60 people, will draw up a portrait of an entrepreneur and undergo special testing, as well as present their own projects (having previously prepared a business plan and developed a PR campaign).
Students who successfully cope with the business game, in the next round of the project will undergo in-depth training in theoretical and practical skills of entrepreneurship. These will be training team seminars on the creation of school companies, at the end of which participants will present their projects to expert entrepreneurs. The students who have passed this test will go to the next level of the project. Before the New Year, they will participate in a charity school fair, and then the business case championship.
The final meeting of school business companies is scheduled for spring 2024. Let us recall that the award of the three winning teams of the project in the 2022-2023 season was a trip to Moscow, where they visited the Skolkovo technopark and visited Gorky film studio. "We have made a trip to the heart of our country – Moscow! It's an unforgettable experience. During the school year we had to work hard, but we saw the results of our work - like real entrepreneurs. Thanks to the organizers of the project, because now we are not going to stop there, but we will continue to develop as entrepreneurs," the guys shared their impressions.
The School Business Start program is implemented with the support of the My Business Center of the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan as part of the implementation of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship and support for individual Entrepreneurial Initiative".
