RT Ministry of Economy: R&D is a key tool for innovative economic development and plays an important role in increasing the country's competitiveness in the world market
Today, at Kazan Digital Week – 2023, a round table "Assessment of the prospects of R&D projects using patent analytics" was held, organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Unitary Enterprise "Tatarstan Center for Scientific and Technical Information".
During the round table, modern scientific and methodological approaches and decision-making practices on the need for R&D financing were investigated. The experts also explained the effectiveness of the use and implementation of patent analytics methods in the infrastructure of expert and analytical support for decision-making on the choice of directions of scientific and technological development. In
addition, the session discussed the issue of improving the quality of assessing the technical novelty and prospects of research and development of technology companies that can be used in the interests of government customers, corporations and venture funds.
"R&D is a key tool for the innovative development of the economy and plays an important role in increasing the country's competitiveness in the world market. Today it is necessary to think strategically, to introduce promising developments into production. The current international situation gives an incentive to the active development of our scientific and technological potential," said Arsen Savva, Head of the Central Research Institute.
He recalled that one ruble invested in R&D gives 5 rubles of revenue in 5 years. Effective management of R&D programs is the key to both technological sovereignty and dynamic economic development.
Let us recall that the Presidential Decree of 2022 declared the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. Next year is declared the Year of Scientific and Technological Development of the Republic of Tatarstan.
On behalf and initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the national project "Digital Economy" is being implemented in the country. "Today Russia has scientific achievements, unique researchers creating breakthrough technologies of a new era, the first experience of their practical application has been accumulated," the head of state is convinced.
