Midhat Shagiakhmetov: the dialogue between large enterprises and business will bring a synergistic effect
More than 500 companies from different sectors of Tatarstan's economy gathered in Kazan for the first Day of SIBUR supplier. Entrepreneurs could directly, including in the dialogue mode, learn all about the procurement procedures of the country's largest petrochemical company, which operates in 15 regions of Russia. SIBUR is already involving hundreds of companies from the Republic in its activities – not only in Tatarstan, but also in Siberia, Central Russia, and the Far East.
The joint initiative of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and SIBUR to hold a large-scale meeting with entrepreneurs from Tatarstan is an indicator of a constructive approach in the dialogue between large and small businesses, Deputy Prime Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov believes:
"The socio-economic stability of the republic and the well-being of our residents largely depend on the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Therefore, an effective and constructive dialogue between such large industrial companies as SIBUR and SMEs should bring a synergistic effect. Today, on the one hand, the company forms a cluster of refiners of petrochemical products around its enterprises, on the other hand, by implementing large investment projects, it attracts contractors from Tatarstan. Therefore, it is difficult to overestimate the importance of today's meeting. I am sure it will bring new agreements and allow us to build useful contacts."
In the republic today, 784.2 thousand people are employed in the sphere of small and medium-sized businesses and 262 thousand people are self-employed. This is a quarter of the total population of the republic. Therefore, a constructive dialogue between large and small businesses is especially important. The result of effective interaction will have an impact on the socio-economic stability and well-being of the residents of Tatarstan.
According to Alexander Petrov, a member of the Management Board and executive director of SIBUR, the number of victories of participants from the republic in the holding's procurement procedures increased from 3% to 8% over the year.
During the company's work in Tatarstan, the number of victories of contracting companies from the republic in the competitive procedures of enterprises has significantly increased. SIBUR involves suppliers and contractors from Tatarstan in its procurement activities. Over the past year, the number of purchases of the holding from enterprises from the republic increased by 74% - from 10.2 to 17.8 billion rubles.
Companies from the Republic of Tatarstan have won SIBUR's competitive procurement procedures more than 950 times in 2022-2023. The amount of contracts for the won procedures amounted to 40 billion rubles.
"We are confident that the potential for interaction with businesses from Tatarstan can be even greater. Enterprises from the republic have the opportunity to participate in the procurement procedures of the company, to supply their goods and services not only to CBS and NKNH, but also to those sites of SIBUR that are located in other geographies and regions of the country. Today we have an opportunity in the format of a live dialogue with those who are interested in working with us, discuss topical issues, hold informational meetings and answer questions that have arisen," Alexander Petrov said.
