This was stated at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov.
The speaker recalled that in 2021 the Wildberries marketplace placed a logistics center with an area of 100 thousand square meters in the Zelenodolsk industrial park. The second largest marketplace Ozon has opened the first stage of its fulfillment center with an area of 22 thousand square meters, this year the online retailer is completing the construction of the second similar stage, at the end of January this year it began construction of the third. Its launch is scheduled for early 2024. Also, the leading Tatarstan marketplace KazanExpress is completing work on the launch of the first stage of its large warehouse complex in the Sviyazhsk interregional multimodal logistics Center (SIMLC) in the Zelenodolsk district with an area of 25 thousand square meters.
"The formation of a developed e-commerce infrastructure will attract about 10.5 billion rubles to the economy of the republic. Including 2.5 billion rubles were invested in the second stage of the fulfillment center of the Ozon marketplace and 3.2 billion rubles in the first place of the fulfillment center of the KazanExpress marketplace," Midhat Shagiakhmetov said.
Investments in the development of the accompanying infrastructure of e-commerce in 2022, including the opening of new points of delivery of orders exceeded 1.37 billion rubles. Investments in the construction of the third stage of the Ozon logistics center this year are estimated at 3.4 billion rubles.
In addition, as part of the federal experiment on the development of bonded warehouses, the Russian Post and KazanExpress signed an agreement on the use of a bonded warehouse on the basis of a logistics postal center in Kazan. The experiment will allow an online retailer to store non-cleared foreign goods and pay taxes and duties only for the goods sold, and not for the entire lot delivered.
According to the speaker, the development of bonded warehouses will reduce logistics costs and delivery times: buyers will be able to receive foreign goods in a few days instead of several weeks. The mechanics of the refund will be as simple as for any online order within the country.
