119 entrepreneurs received grants from the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan in the amount of up to half a million rubles under the SME national project

The competition commission has completed the evaluation of applications for grants in the form of a subsidy to social and young entrepreneurs under the age of 25. 119 entrepreneurs will receive support from the state in the amount of up to 500 thousand rubles.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2022 is implementing the issuance of grants in the form of a subsidy to social and young entrepreneurs under the age of 25. A total of 129 applications were submitted for consideration by the competition commission.

Tatarstan young entrepreneurs under the age of 25 for the first time received a gratuitous subsidy to start their own business, for social enterprises this practice has been applied since 2021.

“Social entrepreneurship solves important social and cultural problems, and also allows vulnerable categories of citizens to adapt. Therefore, such enterprises, along with young businesses, require special attention and state support. In Tatarstan, a range of measures and services of various kinds is available for entrepreneurs - promotion of social projects, training on popular topics, advisory support and financial assistance in the form of grants and preferential microloans,” commented Airat Shamsiev, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Tatarstan.

Based on the results of the selection of the competition commission this year, 119 business entities received support for the implementation and development of projects within the framework of the federal national SME project in the amount of 47 million rubles.

According to the Deputy Minister, the largest number of projects of the winners are related to production and educational activities, the provision of social, marketing and advertising services.

According to the terms of the program, the amount of co-financing of the project is from 100 to 500 thousand rubles, it is determined by the competition commission. At the same time, in order to receive a subsidy, an entrepreneur must invest at least 25% of his own funds in the project.

You can use the funds received for expenses related to the implementation of business projects - rent or repair of premises, purchase of equipment or a vehicle, and other business purposes.

Also throughout the year, the Ministry of Economy of the region conducted training on the development of social and youth entrepreneurship with the involvement of experienced mentors and specialists. The result of the training programs was the inclusion of socially oriented businesses of the republic in the list of social enterprises and the registration of more than 60 new SMEs.

For those grantees who are called up to serve in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation due to partial mobilization, the Ministry provides for an extension of the project implementation period and excludes the application of penalties for changing the terms or conditions for the development of grants.
