Session "The rail frame of the agglomeration: success factors" within the framework of the All-Russian Forum for Strategic Development "Cities of Russia 2030: Challenges and Actions 2.0"

On November 17, 2022, within the framework of the VI All-Russian Forum for Strategic Development in Yekaterinburg, the session "The rail frame of the agglomeration: factors of success" was held.
Topical issues of transforming the transport system of cities, including those in agglomerations, were discussed.
The speakers were Viktor Ageev, Deputy Head of the Perm City Administration, Dmitry Nozhenko, Deputy Head of Yekaterinburg, Alexander Vysokinsky, member of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Northern Affairs, who pointed out the factors necessary to be taken into account when implementing projects, namely a unified transport frame, framework of the socio-cultural sphere, engineering networks and the layout of the productive forces. He recommended that the heads of the executive bodies of the regions set global goals for implementation and achieve them despite the complexity.
The session was moderated by Tatyana Karavaeva, Vice President, Head of the Spatial Development Department of the Center for Strategic Research Foundation, the speakers were Alexander Vysokinsky, member of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Northern Affairs, First Deputy Head of the City District " Samara” Vladimir Vasilenko, Head of the Sverdlovsk Railway – a branch of JSC “Russian Railways” Ivan Kolesnikov, Deputy Head of Yekaterinburg Dmitry Nozhenko.
City projects for the development of infrastructure for electric trains, the agglomeration component of the rail frame: "Challenge or success factor" were discussed, taking into account the interests of authorities, natural monopolies, industrial structures and residents.
The topic of discussion was modern electric trains with their characteristics: will they fit into the scheme of passenger transport of cities.
The session was attended by Irina Yusupova, Head of the Department for the Development and Placement of Productive Forces, and Lilia Kapanova, Leading Specialist of the Department for Coordinating the Implementation of State Programs, from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
