Entrepreneurs from Tatarstan single-industry towns can take advantage of new support measures

5 September 2022, Monday

The Supervisory Board of VEB.RF approved a new package of support measures for single-industry towns, which will soon be provided by the state corporation.

According to the procedure for financing projects from single-industry towns approved by the Supervisory Board of VEB.RF, entrepreneurs can count on:

credits:
from 5 million rubles to 1 billion rubles at 1% per annum for up to 15 years (under the guarantee of the SME Corporation or a bank guarantee);
from 250 million rubles to 1 billion rubles at 5% per annum for up to 15 years (on pledge and other security);
from 5 million rubles to 50 million rubles at 0% per annum for up to 4 years for current activities (for single-industry towns with a Federal emergency regime);
from 5 million rubles to 250 million rubles at 0% per annum for up to 15 years for capital investments (for single-industry towns with a Federal emergency regime).
irrevocable co-financing:
infrastructure facilities for investment projects - up to a maximum of 750 million rubles (VEB.RF co-finances up to 95% of the total cost of the facility)
social infrastructure facilities for single-industry towns with a population of up to 50 thousand people - up to a maximum of 750 million rubles (VEF.RF co-finances up to 50% of the total cost of the facility).
“The government has agreed on new support measures for single-industry towns, which will soon be available from VEB.RF. Despite the fact that there is no longer an interest-free loan for all single-industry towns, it remained only for cities with an emergency regime, on the recommendation of the Government, the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of Finance, we expanded the limit of soft loans from 5 million to 1 billion rubles at 1% per annum. In the current situation, when the interest rate in all banks is high, our conditions are still unprecedented for single-industry towns. When the seamless transition is fully completed, we expect that this will happen in the next few weeks, we can start accepting applications from entrepreneurs,” commented Irina Makieva, Chief Managing Partner for Urban Development at VEB.RF.

It should be reminded that earlier the single-industry towns were supported by the specialized development institute – the non-profit organization “Monotowns Development Fund”. In 2020, the Government of the Russian Federation, as part of the reform of development institutions, decided to liquidate the Fund. Currently, MONOGORODA.RF continues its work until the actual transfer of obligations to VEB.RF.

In the near future, the state corporation VEB.RF will announce the start of accepting applications from single-industry towns.
