Entrepreneurs can apply for registration as self-employed through the State Services portal
Such changes were made to the Federal Law "On the Experiment to Establish a Special Tax Regime "Tax on Professional Income"".
What is Professional Income Tax?
This is a special tax regime for self-employed citizens, which can be applied from 2019. The self-employed may pay tax on professional income at a reduced rate:
4% - when working with individuals;
6% - with legal.
Previously, it was possible to register as a self-employed person only through the My Tax application, a personal account on the website of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) or authorized banks.
How to register as a self-employed through the State Services
1. Log in with your account on the State Services portal.
2. Select the service "Registration as self-employed".
3. Confirm the correctness of the information from the passport and TIN.
4. Select the region where you work.
5. Send an application to the Federal Tax Service.
The tax authority will consider the application within 5 working days from the date of its submission. A notification of registration as a self-employed person will be sent to the personal account of the State Services.
