VEB.RF to announce the final ranking of single-industry towns

VEB.RF will sum up the ranking of single-industry towns for 2021. The TOP-10 best included cities that showed a high level of socio-economic development. The event will be held at the site of the Russian News Agency TASS in a mixed format (in-person and online participation).

The participants of the press conference will be: Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Shamsiev, Governor of the Murmansk Region Andrei Chibis, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev, Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov, Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov, Vitaly Tushinov, Deputy Governor of the Vologda Region, Dmitry Bogdanov, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region, Airat Shamsiev, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Irina Makieva, Chief Managing Partner for Urban Development of VEB.RF, General Director of the Monotowns Development Fund.

The TOP-10 rating helps to identify the strongest and most promising aspects of leading single-industry towns, as well as to identify the most successful projects to improve the quality of life of citizens.

Recall that according to the results of the previous rating of the year, the TOP-10 best single-industry towns included: Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tolyatti of the Samara region, Novoulyanovsk of the Ulyanovsk region, Gubkin of the Belgorod region, Pavlovsk of the Voronezh region, Cherepovets of the Vologda region, Kotovsk of the Tambov region, Magnitogorsk of the Chelyabinsk region and Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Territory.

The rating of single-industry towns has been carried out since 2016.
