Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov spoke about the growth in purchases of goods and services from SMEs by large companies under Federal Law 223-FZ. On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, in 2021 the mandatory quota for purchases from SMEs by the largest and regional customers was increased to 25%. Monitoring of compliance with the quota is carried out by the SME Corporation.

“To date, 5% more orders have been placed than in the corresponding period last year,” the minister said.

The largest increase in purchases from SMEs was observed in the segment of textile products - an increase of 6 times compared to last year. Purchases of clothing, including overalls, increased 5 times. Significantly increased purchases of large companies from SMEs of machinery and equipment for agriculture and forestry, construction and improvement of roads.

“We see that the policy of disclosing access for SMEs is working. But corporations have their own procedures and rules. Small and medium business, of course, notes their complexity. Information is needed. On the basis of the SME Corporation, a special center will help entrepreneurs and provide clarifications. In the near future, we will launch a service on the MSP.RF portal that will respond to requests from companies online,” Maxim Reshetnikov said. The Minister noted that the Digital Platform will become a source of information for entrepreneurs on all federal and regional state support measures.
