The Federation Council hosted a round table dedicated to supporting special economic zones in the Russian Federation in the face of sanctions pressure. The meeting was chaired by Vladimir Kravchenko, member of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Dinar Shakirov.
During the meeting, Dinar Shakirov spoke about the experience and results of Tatarstan in the development of special economic zones. In the Republic of Tatarstan, two special economic zones "Innopolis" and "Alabuga" are successfully operating, which are noted as leaders in the rating of investment attractiveness of the SEZ of Russia.
The development of the SEZ "Alabuga" continues, where 57 residents are located, of which 33 enterprises are engaged in industrial and production activities. The actual investments of residents in 2021 amounted to 157 billion rubles. The volume of revenue amounted to 136 billion rubles, 8223 jobs were created. To date, 323 companies have been attracted to the Innopolis SEZ, including 125 residents, 48 partner companies and 160 start-ups. At the end of 2021, the actual volume of investments on an accrual basis amounted to 58.9 billion rubles, the volume of revenue - 113.3 billion rubles, the number of places created - 8375.
At the meeting, Dinar Shakirov voiced Tatarstan's proposals for the further development of the SEZ, which were also sent to the Committee of the Federation Council on Economic Policy and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
