Yesterday, at the My Business Center, the leadership of the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan received a delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by First Deputy Minister of Economy Yury Chebotar. The topic of the business visit was the experience of developing preferential territories of Tatarstan, as well as building up export potential and further strengthening cooperation between the parties.
Today, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus faces a priority task of creating industrial parks in every region of the country and attracting domestic investment. As Yury Chebotar noted, Russia and Belarus have a similar economy and industry in structure, therefore Tatarstan's competence in reconstructing mothballed engineering and production facilities, creating the necessary regulatory and legal framework, and forming a line of state support measures can help the country achieve its goal.
The meeting was opened by Deputy Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Dinar Shakirov. He spoke about the economic potential and attractiveness of the region for investors, the development of preferential territories and the benefits for residents that apply to them.
First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Sibgatullin shared his experience in developing infrastructure support facilities.
Recall, as Andrei Belousov noted during the announcement of the results of the National Rating, Tatarstan has a highly developed business support infrastructure, where the share of jobs in the total number of employees in small and medium-sized enterprises in Tatarstan is almost 10 times higher than in the whole country - 25%.
Rustem Sibgatullin dwelled in detail on the ongoing management initiatives and decisions that made it possible to achieve such indicators. In particular, on the measures taken at the republican and federal levels to support residents and management companies of industrial parks, the formation of a legal and legislative framework that promotes the development of territories, experience in the modernization and reconstruction of engineering facilities.
“We are creating different engineering infrastructure in the republic, different sites, with different conditions, benefits for different investors, based on their needs. For us, this is, first of all, a tool for the development of industry and business, the formation of new production chains. By increasing business activity in depressed areas, we are creating new jobs, thereby reducing commuting," the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan noted.
He also spoke about the implementation of the Republican Concept for the Development of Industrial Parks and the current federal support programs, in particular, the mechanism for providing subsidies to reimburse the costs of creating the infrastructure of industrial parks and technology parks through tax deductions generated by their residents.
Another topic of the meeting was the further increase in trade between the countries, including through the development of exports. The parties agreed on mutual support for exporters and assistance in finding trading partners.
