The Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan visited an enterprise that received support under sanctions pressure
The management of the Guarantee Fund, subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited with a working trip an enterprise for the production of polyethylene pipes LLC "Kazanhydroplast" of the Pestrechinsky district. To attract debt financing, the company used the guarantee of the Fund in the amount of 15 million rubles.
Kazangidroplast LLC began its history with a small production in 2011, then there was one line for the production of pipes. In 2022, 11 years later, the polyethylene pipe plant Kazangidroplast LLC became one of the leading enterprises in Tatarstan in its industry. The pipes produced by the KazanHydroPlast plant were used in the construction of the Kazanskaya, Naberezhnye-Chelninskaya, Zainskaya, Nizhnekamskaya CHPPs.
To cover the cash gap, fulfill obligations under contracts in the face of rising prices for raw materials, as well as for further participation in tenders, the company applied for loan financing in the amount of 30 million rubles to the bank. The company did not have sufficient collateral to secure the loan; the Guarantee Fund provided assistance in this matter by providing a guarantee in the amount of 15 million rubles.
“Debt financing to cover the cash gap is becoming especially important for small and medium-sized businesses in the face of sanctions pressure, which confirms the record volume of loan guarantees issued since the beginning of the year, which exceeded one billion rubles,” said Rustem Mukhamedshin, director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The guarantee of the Guarantee Fund was provided under the Mechanism of SME Corporation JSC without re-underwriting. The maximum guarantee amount of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic for this product is 25 million rubles. At the same time, the commission for the provided guarantee for companies engaged in trading activities is 1% per annum for the entire period of the guarantee, for other types of activities - 0.75%.
