143 subjects of small and medium business of Tatarstan will be included in the list of social enterprises

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission to consider the issues of recognizing small and medium-sized businesses as social enterprises in the Republic of Tatarstan. The commission approved 143 applications from the socially oriented business of the republic.

The commission included representatives of state authorities, public associations and non-profit organizations that are part of the infrastructure for supporting small and medium-sized businesses in Tatarstan.

The status of "social enterprise" can be obtained by entrepreneurs who employ mainly citizens from socially vulnerable categories, or such entrepreneurs sell goods (works, services) produced by such citizens, or sell goods (works, services) for such citizens, as well as those engaged in public useful activities, primarily those providing recreation, health improvement and development of children, engaged in cultural and educational activities, and others.

At the end of last year, 117 small and medium-sized businesses were recognized as social enterprises in the Republic of Tatarstan, while in the current period the commission approved 143 applications, including an increase in the volume of applications received from municipalities. It should be noted that the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan accepts applications from enterprises throughout the year.

Inclusion in the List provides enterprises with the opportunity to receive measures of state financial and non-financial support.

In particular, in 2022, additional grant support is provided for the implementation of projects in the field of social entrepreneurship in the amount of up to 500 thousand rubles. You can use the received gratuitous funds for any justified business purposes, including renting and repairing premises, paying utility bills, purchasing equipment, etc.

Also, social enterprises can receive preferential financial support up to 5 million rubles at 4.5% per annum.

Additionally, it provides for the possibility of organizing the participation of social entrepreneurs in exhibitions, fairs and congress events with a topic corresponding to the profile of activity, leasing support for the product "Social Entrepreneurship".
