Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan: Sales of imported equipment decreased in Tatarstan in April

The retail trade turnover of the Republic of Tatarstan in April of this year decreased by 10% compared to last year, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov at a meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was held by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

According to the Ministry of Economy, this dynamics is primarily due to a decrease in sales of non-food products, mainly imported - cars, mobile phones and household appliances.

Midkhat Shagiakhmetov recalled that on April 19, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation approved a list of goods for parallel imports, which included more than 90 categories, including cars and spare parts, clothing, footwear, pharmaceutical products, household appliances and smartphones.

“In order to prevent a shortage, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic needs to bring information about the possibility of using this tool to trade enterprises,” the minister said.

According to him, in terms of food stocks, the situation in the republic is stable. The volume of basic goods in retail chains and distribution centers is sufficient to meet the demand of the population. The food supply of the republic is under constant control of the Working Group of the Operational Headquarters.
