Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a meeting with the Turkish delegation at KazanSammit-2022
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy Midhat Shagiakhmetov held a business meeting with the leadership of the Turkish Small and Medium Enterprise Development Organization (KOSGEB) as part of KazanSammit-2022, the parties discussed issues of developing and supporting entrepreneurship and outlined steps to further strengthen cooperation.
It should be noted that the Republic of Turkey is an important foreign partner of Tatarstan. A number of large Turkish companies have chosen the republic as a place for the implementation of investment projects and localization of production. The meeting is designed to update and strengthen ties, promote the search for new areas of cooperation and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
Midhat Shagiakhmetov emphasized the republic's readiness to strengthen trade and economic relations between Turkey and Tatarstan, exchange experience and solutions aimed at supporting entrepreneurial activity, developing the investment attractiveness of regions and business support institutions.
KOSGEB President Hasan Basri KURT noted that Tatarstan occupies a special place in the system of Russian-Turkish relations, including in connection with historical and cultural similarities, common language and religion. He noted that Tatarstan is a region with a favorable investment climate and business opportunities and expressed hope for further expansion of cooperation.
At the end, KOSGEB and the regional Entrepreneurship Support Fund subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan signed a plan of interaction between the parties, which provides for joint measures to improve the institutional infrastructure and support mechanisms to improve the activities of SMEs of both parties.
