Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Dinar Shakirov made a presentation on the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in the development of intellectual property, management of scientific research and commercialization of scientific activities at a special session of Rospatent "Patent Analytics for the benefit of cooperation between Russia and the OIC countries and the implementation of the scientific and technological development program of the Islamic world" STI Agenda 2026” as part of KazanSummit 2022.
The session was also attended by EAPO President Grigory Ivliev, Deputy Head of Rospatent Andrey Solonovich, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OIC Ramazan Abdulatipov, General Coordinator of the COMSTECH Center for Science and Technology Muhammad Iqbal Choudhari.
Dinar Shakirov shared Tatarstan's experience in the development of intellectual property (IP) and IP support infrastructure, the introduction of tools and platform solutions for the development of innovative projects and their commercialization potential, and the training of qualified personnel in the field of IP.
During the session, issues were considered aimed at deepening the interaction between Rospatent and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in order to develop the field of intellectual property (IP) in the OIC member states.
The participants also discussed strengthening cooperation on capacity building, awareness raising and competency development in the field of intellectual property. The focus was on patent analytics as a proactive science, technology and innovation management tool designed to support sectors of the economy and industry companies in a wide range of tasks, such as choosing investment directions, assessing the competitiveness of technologies and unlocking the potential for product commercialization.
