19 April 2022, Tuesday

Demand for long-term storage products has stabilized in Tatarstan. Rustem Sibgatullin, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, stated this at a meeting in the House of the Government of Tatarstan with the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov on Friday, April 15.

“Analysis of streaming data from cash registers, presented by the Federal Tax Service of Russia, indicates the stability of demand in the retail food market. The volume of sales of long-term storage products is lower than the reference for the second week,” he said.

According to him, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with municipalities, continues daily monitoring of commodity stocks in retail chains.

“The volume of basic goods in stores and distribution centers is sufficient to meet the demand of the population of the republic. Trade enterprises are provided with essential goods. In order to provide the population with quality products, traditional agricultural fairs have been held since March 19, where residents of the republic can purchase products at affordable prices. The level of demand in the retail network has stabilized,” Sibgatullin noted.

According to him, fairs are held weekly in the cities of Tatarstan. “Despite the fact that the level of demand in the retail network has stabilized, increased volumes of supplies for a number of positions at the fairs are maintained,” he said.

In pharmacy chains, daily operational monitoring of the availability and prices of the assortment minimum is carried out. Commodity stocks of medicines for budget purchases in the republic range from 2.8 to 5.3 months in the amount of 5.5 billion rubles.

Rustem Sibgatullin said that in order to minimize risks and ensure the smooth operation of enterprises, it is necessary to make the most of the opportunity to participate in federal support measures. Enterprises included in the federal list of backbone enterprises of the Russian economy can apply for them. Currently, it includes 49 organizations of the republic, which form a third of the economy of the republic. Currently, 15 backbone organizations of industry and agriculture of the republic have applied for preferential loans, 7 applications have been approved.

To ensure the smooth operation of enterprises today, import substitution is the most important, recalled the First Deputy Minister. To address this issue, the platform for import substitution based on the Republican Marketing Center has been improved. During the week, municipalities ensured an increase of 309 new positions of previously purchased imported products.

As a result of the ongoing work, there is a substitution of purchases of goods from the countries of the sanctions list for purchases of Russian production. Thus, in the resources of the RMC for the month of the current year, there was an increase in purchases of Russian goods (by 9%), a decrease in purchases of goods on the sanctions list (by 6%).
