Today, a regular meeting of the working group to ensure sustainable economic development was held at the Ministry of Economy under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov. The meeting was held with the participation of representatives of sectoral ministries and touched upon, among other things, the issues of import substitution and the organization of the production of import-substituting products.
Members of the working group continued to discuss issues in the 4 main areas for ensuring sustainable economic development:
- monitoring and control of prices and the availability of basic socially significant goods in trade organizations;
- implementation of investment projects;
- work with backbone organizations, including on issues of import substitution and logistics.
- situation in the labor market.
An important issue of the meeting was the work of backbone organizations. Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted that currently 49 enterprises from the Republic of Tatarstan are included in the list of backbone organizations of the Russian economy. Now the main task is to identify the key needs of enterprises and ensure their participation in federal support programs.
The minister also stressed the importance of import substitution of products with domestic counterparts. During the meeting, the members of the working group discussed the issue of identifying strategic commodity groups and their components for each industry necessary for import substitution and working out the possibility of their purchase through the RMC sites and the federal import substitution service.
