Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov visited the industrial park "Himgrad"

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, together with the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Masim Topilin, as part of the Operational Headquarters to ensure sustainable economic development, visited the enterprises of the Himgrad industrial park, discussed the current work of companies under sanctions and development plans.

The first point of visit was Cotton Way. The enterprise renders services in rent and cleaning of textiles, bed linen to hospitals of the republic. The laundry factory cleans 30 tons of textiles per day. The Minister of Economy noted that the company maintains stability and plans to expand.

“Despite imported technologies and equipment, the company was able to maintain cooperation ties and continues production. The staff has not changed, orders have remained the same, the company is considering expanding the list of services - a project to provide uniforms for hospital medical staff. We hope that all the tasks that they face to provide our healthcare facilities with the necessary textiles will continue to be carried out with high quality,” said Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.

According to the company, the supply chains are not broken, the company continues to replenish supplies of consumables and textiles, and is working on alternative options for the supply of domestic spare parts for imported equipment in order to ensure the smooth operation of production.

The next point of visit was the company for the production of implants. The company purchased imported equipment before the sanctions. Currently, components are purchased from suppliers who have not left the market. According to the company, orders have doubled.

Also, there are no problems in the field of supply and manufacturers of industrial agricultural drones. Their products consist of only thirty percent of imported components. The manufacturer raised the issue of the need to change the legislation.

As part of a visit to the "Himgrad" industrial park, Maxim Topilin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, said that enterprises and businesses in the current situation need to quickly calculate risks and negotiate with partners in other countries.

“It is important for us to convey to organizations and entrepreneurs so that they quickly calculate the risks and understand where they arise. Moreover, it takes time to find those solutions related somewhere with import substitution, - he said. - Not everything, probably, can be done in Russia. Cooperation ties will remain, there will be other markets. But we must take advantage of this history, this situation and develop production in Russia,” Maxim Topilin stressed.

During the visit of the delegation, the General Director of the industrial park "Himgrad" Airat Gizzatullin said that in 2018 Technopolis became a member of the national program "Small and medium-sized businesses and support for individual entrepreneurial initiatives". Thanks to participation in the national project, 59 new enterprises appeared on the territory of the Technopolis "Himgrad". In total, 360 residents work on the territory of the industrial site today, the volume of marketable products for 2021 amounted to 57.8 billion rubles. In 2022, Technopolis plans to increase revenue to the level of 65 billion rubles.

In addition, within the framework of the agreement between the Republics of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan, Technopolis "Himgrad" took part in the creation of the industrial park "Chirchik" in the Tashkent region. This will allow Tatarstan companies to expand their export opportunities and enter the markets of South Asian countries.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan plans to continue holding field meetings at enterprises in order to get acquainted with the problems of entrepreneurs and promptly resolve issues.

“It is very important to take advantage of the support measures that are available today. Because each support measure involves solving a specific problem and situation. We, within the framework of our operational headquarters, communicate with businesses and ask them to make the most of federal and republican support measures,” Midkhat Shagiakhmetov added.
