Today President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with entrepreneurs of the republic at the site of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was held with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov and other heads of sectoral ministries.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Russia is facing unprecedented economic and sanctions pressure from Western states. The country's leadership is taking a number of measures to support citizens and various industries. At the level of the republic, a headquarters was also created, an action plan was approved to ensure sustainable development of the economy.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized that under the conditions of sanctions, business and government need to develop joint steps to solve emerging problems. “It is important for us to hear you, to move along with you in terms of solving new problems. Components, work with banks, logistics - there are a lot of issues that require our active position, the position of our federal colleagues. I want to assure you that we are with you,” added Rustam Minnikhanov.
During the meeting, representatives of Tatarstan business voiced a number of problematic issues that they faced due to Western sanctions. So, the general director of the sewing workshop "Iren" Irina Kupriakhina spoke about the difficulties with the purchase of fabrics for the production of school uniforms. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that in the current conditions it is necessary to mobilize and load our own production facilities. It is also necessary to build logistics schemes with new suppliers from Turkey, China, and Uzbekistan.
Oleg Korobchenko, General Director of the Korib group of companies, drew attention to the fact that after the restriction of scheduled business inspections, cases of unscheduled visits by supervisory authorities have become more frequent. He noted that when working in a new environment, mistakes are inevitable, and businesses need to be given time to calmly rebuild production processes. The President of Tatarstan supported the speaker, suggesting that the prosecutor's office organize a "hot line" to monitor supervisory activities. At the same time, he noted that security issues should be a priority and therefore checks are important, but this work must be carried out very carefully.
Marat Fashiev, director of Polba M LLC, said that today there are many manufacturers in rural areas who can sell their products on marketplaces. But this requires procurement offices, where they will be provided with services for the acceptance of products, their packaging, storage and transportation. Rustam Minnikhanov noted the relevance of this issue. “To get into marketplaces, you need to meet certain standards. Of course, we need to help the villagers and actively develop the infrastructure of consumer cooperation,” he said.
Sergey Akulchev, General Director of Akulchev LLC, suggested revising the criteria by which they provide support to SMEs in order to cover as many business representatives as possible with these measures. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that this proposal would be studied.
Radik Abdrakhmanov, co-founder of the Tugan Avylym National Tourist Complex, noted that the constant supply of high-quality and fresh farm products is important for restaurateurs. Therefore, it is important that agricultural producers are focused on the shipment of products, first of all, to local establishments. In addition, the speaker asked to reduce the payment for rented state and municipal property, as was the case during the pandemic. The issue with benefits for rent will be considered, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan answered. As for the work of restaurants and the hospitality industry in general, this year Tatarstan is waiting for many guests in connection with the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.
The head of the Beloglazova peasant farm Elena Beloglazova noted that credit holidays on loans taken from banks until March 1, 2022 and a deferral of payments on loans from the Tatarstan Entrepreneurship Support Fund were announced earlier. She asked if a similar mechanism could be extended to Rosagroleasing contracts. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic to study this issue.
Delyus Sirazetdinov, General Director of KamaStroyInvest, touched upon the issue of supporting the construction industry. He asked what measures are planned to be implemented to stabilize the situation in the construction industry. The President of Tatarstan stressed that today work is underway on a number of issues, including the possible extension of the preferential mortgage program.
Irina Shteinberg, General Director of Kama-Trucks Fuel and Energy Complex LLC, noted the need to build new alternative routes for the delivery of goods, develop logistics systems, and organize large container sites. “Logistics is not an easy issue. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic deals with this topic. In any case, a solution must be found,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
In conclusion, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan thanked the entrepreneurs for the meeting. He stressed that in the new conditions it is necessary to unite and make decisions quickly. “We must focus on other markets, and also rely more on ourselves, be self-sufficient. No matter how difficult it is, but this path must be passed. We will work with partners who have maintained relations with us, there are quite a lot of them,” added Rustam Minnikhanov.
