Resident of TASED "Naberezhnye Chelny" Haier doubled production capacity
On March 15, a press tour took place at the enterprises of Naberezhnye Chelny. As part of a visit to the Chinese factory of Haier washing machines, plans were announced to develop the production of a resident of the Naberezhnye Chelny TASED in the face of sanctions.
During the press tour, the journalists got acquainted with the production process of washing machines at the Haier plant, as well as components for them from Tatarstan manufacturers located in the Kama Industrial Park "Master".
According to the company, the company does not plan to reduce production due to sanctions. Thus, Vladimir Romanenko, head of production at the Haier washing machine plant, said that the Chinese manufacturer of washing machines in Tatarstan plans to double production in the second half of the year.
“The production capacity of the enterprise is 1.6 thousand washing machines per day. From August, we plan to launch a second shift to increase productivity, and double production to 3.2 thousand washing machines,” he said.
According to the company, this year it is planned to produce 400,000 washing machines. The company employs 250 employees. With the launch of the second shift, it is planned to hire another 100 people. Haier plans to open 12 factories by 2025. Last year, the company began building a "smart factory" for the production of refrigeration and freezing equipment.
The company notes that they do not plan to leave Russia or reduce production in Tatarstan - the conditions created in the republic for TASED residents are beneficial for foreign investors in the current economic situation. Thus, production volumes and jobs will be saved. Preferences and benefits provided to TASED residents, as well as the entire system of state support for large, medium and small enterprises of Tatarstan, allow maintaining the stability and sustainability of the republic's economy, retain current investors and attract new ones, and prevent a shortage of goods.
Note that Haier is a resident of the Naberezhnye Chelny TASED. In 2019, off-site networks were built for factories of washing machines and household appliances with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-financing of the Single-industry Towns Development Fund.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted that the republican headquarters for sustainable economic development continues its work. All federal and republican programs on the territory of the republic continue. Support measures for SEZs, TASEDs, industrial parks and small and medium-sized businesses remain.
“The task for us is to preserve jobs and ensure the stable operation of our enterprises,” the minister said.
