Olga Murtazina, a resident of Kazan, has been making gingerbread products for several years, as well as conducting master classes for children. Most recently, at the expense of a state subsidy from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, she acquired professional equipment as a self-employed person. The funds received in the amount of 170 thousand rubles helped her buy a kitchen machine, a 3D food printer, and undergo training.
After working as an engineer in industrial production for several years, Olga decided to change her profession and become self-employed. According to her, the reason was the desire to try yourself as a confectioner. Hobby began to bring money. In addition to baking gingerbread for sale, she also began to conduct workshops for children.
Gingerbread oven self-employed learned by trial and error since 2020. The “highlight” of its products are hand-drawn national icing patterns. According to the self-employed woman, she wanted to develop her business, to achieve something more in business. The support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan helped to reach a new level.
“It was problematic to allocate money for education, but it was thanks to the subsidy that I paid for education at one of the strongest gingerbread schools in Russia, and now I have received a quality answer to many of my questions,” the self-employed woman shared.
Also, with the money received, Olga purchased a universal and one of the best kitchen machines, which helped to expand the range, reduce the time of production, reduce energy consumption and increase the volume of manufactured products. She also purchased a food printer with this money.
“For me, this is the most significant purchase, since now I ship my gingerbread to Sochi. There, my products are sold exactly as national Tatar gingerbread, in order to reduce the cost of many of these gingerbread, I need printing, not hand drawing. In this case, tourists will have more opportunities to buy a gingerbread with our national attributes,” Olga added.
The program of subsidizing the self-employed was implemented by the GKU "Center for the implementation of programs to support and develop small and medium-sized businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan" subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
