Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Dinar Shakirov today took part in a meeting of the Board of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent), where the results of the implementation of the Rospatent Activity Plan for 2021 were summed up and tasks in the field of intellectual property for 2022 were identified.
During the meeting, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov, introduced the new head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Yuri Zubov. The corresponding order was signed by the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin on February 17, 2022.
The board noted that Rospatent plays one of the main roles in ensuring the competitiveness of domestic products. The agency creates guarantees for the protection of key Russian technologies and new brands.
“In modern realities, this is the most important prerequisite for leadership in existing markets, both for Russian companies, regions, and for the economy as a whole. Today, intellectual property is becoming a real source of economic growth. Without the active development of this sphere, it is impossible to achieve the national goal of 3% economic growth,” said Maxim Reshetnikov.
