Midkhat Shagiakhmetov spoke about the results of the socio-economic development of the republic for 2021 and the tasks for 2022
On February 17, the board of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan was held, dedicated to the results of activities in 2021, the main tasks and factors of ensuring sustainable economic growth for 2022. The event was held at the site of the Volga State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism.
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, General Director of JSC "Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises" Alexander Isaevich took part in the final board of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Before the start of the event, a round table was organized with the SME Corporation on the topic “Digital transformation: where business and the state meet”, after which the participants visited the exhibition, where they got acquainted with the projects of Tatarstan entrepreneurs and the most popular business development tools.
The final meeting began with a film on the results of socio-economic development for 2021.
State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Aleksey Khersontsev delivered a report in the VKS mode. He noted that Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in terms of the quality of life of the population in terms of key macroeconomic indicators.
The guests were also greeted by the Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Maxim Topilin. He said that Tatarstan is a region that always offers serious legislative initiatives in the economic sphere.

The keynote speech was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov. He noted that 2021 is characterized by the return of the economy of the country and the republic to the pre-pandemic level. The gross regional product of the republic amounted to 3 trillion 354.9 billion rubles with a growth rate of 103.8% in comparable prices compared to the level of 2020.
“In the context of the continued influence of external and internal factors on production and supply chains, migration processes, world trade, and the situation in regional markets, this year we face a serious and intense task to maintain the GRP growth rates achieved in 2021,” said in his report by Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.
To solve this problem, it is necessary to use all factors of economic growth, where there are significant reserves: ensuring the effective sustainable development of economic sectors and the growth of labor productivity; stimulation of investment activity; implementation of scientific and educational potential; revitalization of entrepreneurial activity and expansion of sales markets; balanced development of municipalities; and in general the development of human capital, including within the framework of the implementation of national projects and republican programs.
