From February 12 to March 10, 2022, within the framework of the Demography national project in Kazan - in the Park House shopping center and the KAZAN MOLL shopping center - the action "Throwers" will be held. The action is aimed at strengthening public health and motivating citizens to refuse the consumption of nicotine-containing products
Participants of the action will be able to take advantage of the interactive “Quitters” desks, learn about the problems that smokers face, go to the community where experts will help everyone get rid of a negative habit.
The mechanics of the action is simple - everyone who comes to the interactive stand can familiarize themselves with the rules for participating in the action, study the reasons why people start smoking and visualize the path of each smoker.
The participant throws a pack of cigarettes or sticks into the counter, starting an interactive session that talks about the problems that the smoker faces. When the pack gets into the trash compartment, the highlighting of QR codes will start with links to the “Throwers” communities on VKontakte and Telegram. There you can find useful information from experts in the field of healthy lifestyle, find like-minded people and get answers to popular questions related to smoking cessation.
The Throwers community now has over 40,000 members. The community is represented on VKontakte and Telegram, you can join it using the links: https://t.me/davaibrosat and https://vk.com/davaibrosat

The fight against the consumption of nicotine-containing products is one of the directions of the Demography national project. Since the fall of 2020, thanks to legislative changes carried out by the Russian Ministry of Health as part of the national project, electronic cigarettes have been equated to regular ones, so the same prohibitions apply to them. In general, by 2024, the reduction in the consumption of nicotine-containing products in the Russian Federation should be 10%. Since 2009, the number of smokers among adult Russians has decreased from 39% to 28% by now.
The implementation of the federal project "Strengthening public health" of the national project "Demography" is aimed at creating a system for strengthening public health, which implies the improvement of measures aimed at reducing risk factors for mortality among the working-age population, in particular the fight against smoking.
