On January 13, the results of the first competition of the Presidential Grants Fund 2022 were announced. In total, 258 applications for this competition were submitted from the Republic of Tatarstan. Most applications were submitted by organizations from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk region.
Tatarstan takes an active part in competitions for presidential grants. According to the results of the first competition in 2022, non-profit organizations of the republic will receive more than 60 million rubles for the implementation of 44 projects in the areas of youth policy, science and education, ecology, culture and art, healthcare and other sectors of the social sphere.
Participation in such competitions helps to attract investments in the social sphere of the municipal district. These are remuneration for specialists, purchase of equipment, holding events. So, this year representatives of 10 municipal districts of Tatarstan were able to win the competition.
Among those who won the presidential grant is the Krasnoborskaya Dubrava social assistance center from Agryz. With the funds received in the amount of more than half a million rubles, the organization plans to help older people recover from covid. So, for pensioners, wellness procedures, physiotherapy exercises, breathing exercises, psychological services, leisure, walks are provided.
Public organization of veterans (pensioners) of the Buinsky district won a grant in the amount of 259 thousand rubles for the reconstruction of the monument to the participants of the Great Patriotic War, located in the village of Atabay-Ankebe.
Also among the winners is the Donor-SEARCH association from Kazan, which won 5.7 million rubles in the competition and plans to spend the funds received on the development of the donor institution in Tatarstan.
The project “Virtual Museum of the Search Team “Snow Landing”” also became the winner of the competition. It is implemented jointly by the Center for Innovative Development and Technology Transfer, which, under an agreement with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, is one of the Resource Centers for Supporting Socially Oriented NGOs in the Republic of Tatarstan, with Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. By the end of 2022, thanks to the funds received, the KFU Museum will expand its presence in the virtual space.
Among the winners is the Center for Cultural Projects "Workshop of the Vasiliev Brothers". The Vasiliev brothers, one of whom is a social entrepreneur, are planning to create a virtual museum of the history of animation and cinematography with the grant received in the amount of about 1 million rubles, and they also plan to teach animation to children and schoolchildren. The next step in development will be the creation of a real museum of the history of animation and cinema.
Applications for the second competition of presidential grants in 2022 will start on February 1. Non-profit organizations will be able to submit their projects until March 15. Grants are allocated for the implementation of social, cultural, educational and other socially significant non-profit initiatives.
