This year, in order to stimulate social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Economy of the region launched a grant support program for socially oriented business. 23 entrepreneurs of the republic, according to the results of the competitive selection, will receive gratuitous subsidies in the amount of up to 500 thousand rubles.
During the year, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out work on the recognition of entrepreneurs as social enterprises. The members of the interdepartmental commission assigned the status of "social enterprise" and included 117 SMEs from 23 municipalities of the republic in the List of such enterprises.
The status of "social enterprise" was given to entrepreneurs who provide employment for socially unprotected (vulnerable) citizens, as well as those engaged in the production of goods (works, services) intended for this category of citizens.
Another selection criterion was the implementation of activities aimed at achieving socially useful goals and contributing to the solution of social problems of society, for example, activities for the provision of services in the field of preschool education, recreation and health services for children, cultural and educational activities and others.
Also in August 2021, the Ministry of Economy organized special training under the advanced training program "Project Management in the field of social entrepreneurship" on the basis of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, which was attended by 78 representatives of social enterprises.
As a result of the training, social enterprises, within the framework of the implementation of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative" under the regional project "Creating conditions for an easy start and comfortable business", were able to apply for gratuitous grant support up to 500 thousand rubles.
Grants totaling over 9 million rubles will be received by 23 small and medium-sized businesses implementing projects for the employment of people with disabilities, the organization of nursing homes, children's development centers, rehabilitation centers for citizens, etc.
Entrepreneurs will be able to send grants for the rental and repair of non-residential premises for the implementation of projects; rental and purchase of office equipment, equipment; technological connection to engineering infrastructure facilities; payment for utilities; registration of the results of intellectual activity and much more.
