The meeting with Tatarstan business was held at the Entrepreneur's House

A meeting of the deputy of the State Duma from Tatarstan Aidar Metshin with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses of the republic, business organizations and public associations took place at the Entrepreneur's House. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov also answered questions from entrepreneurs.

In his speech Midhat Shagiakhmetov outlined the significant role of business in the economy of Tatarstan. The Minister noted that Tatarstan small and medium-sized companies continue to develop despite the unfavorable conditions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Unprecedented measures of federal and regional support proved timely at a difficult time for business.

"Almost one third works in the field of small and medium-sized businesses. The contribution that entrepreneurs make to the development of the republic is invaluable. More than 750 thousand jobs are created in the republic by small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, for the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, support for small and medium-sized businesses is one of the most important, priority areas," the head of the Ministry of Economy stressed.

The Minister added that the republic is actively involved in the implementation of federal support measures in the difficult conditions of the ongoing pandemic.

"Together with municipal districts and branch ministries, we are working with each potential recipient of these support measures. For entrepreneurs who are not included in the federal list of support measures, we have introduced additional republican support measures. So we managed to expand the number of recipients of assistance. We did this both last year and this year, when we announced new federal forms of business support," said Midhat Shagiakhmetov.

After that, the Minister of Economy, along with other speakers, answered the questions of entrepreneurs present in the hall and connected via online channels.
