The Entrepreneurship Support Fund subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan provides micro-loans for the self-employed at a preferential rate. One of the recipients of financial support was an English teacher from the Kukmor district. Almira Bagautdinova opened her own business with the funds received.
In 2019, 23-year-old Almira Bagautdinova went to China to teach English to Chinese schoolchildren. For more than a year, a resident of Tatarstan worked in the land of the rising sun, where she learned a unique Chinese teaching method.
"I was struck by the fact that parents send their children to learn English from the age of two, and by adolescence these children are fluent in English. I was interested in their methodology, since it is aimed precisely at revealing the child's speech, teaches him not to be shy to speak, which, unfortunately, is sorely lacking in Russian schools," the self-employed woman said.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Almira Bagautdinova returned to Russia and decided to open her own business. She registered as self-employed and received a micro-loan from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in the amount of 100 thousand rubles. With the funds she received, she bought furniture and appliances for her club. The leisure center "5 o'clock English Club" for children from 3 to 17 years old works according to the Chinese method of learning English and brings only positive emotions.
More than 160 thousand residents of Tatarstan have registered and are working as self-employed. To support this category of entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurship Support Fund subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan provides a specialized financial product in the amount of 50 to 500 thousand rubles for a period of up to 2 years, at a percentage equal from ½ of the key rate of the Bank of Russia to 5.5% per annum for any business purposes. Concessional financing is provided within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative", which is aimed at comprehensive support of SMEs and effective business conduct.
An application for a microloan can be submitted through the "MFC for Business" or regional representatives of the Entrepreneurship Support Fund, represented in almost all municipalities of the republic.
