Small businesses will be able to buy domestic software twice cheaper

9 November 2021, Tuesday

The Ministry of Finance of Russia announces the launch of a new mechanism to support small and medium-sized businesses - companies will be able to purchase software twice cheaper by compensating 50% of the cost of the license to manufacturers.

The support measure is implemented by the Russian Information Technology Development Fund within the framework of the federal project "Digital Technologies" of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation".

At the moment, the selection of copyright holders and software for the purpose of providing support is underway; the first winners have been announced. You can find out about the software available to small and medium-sized businesses at a discounted price on the official website of the Russian Information Technology Development Fund.

"The new support measure is aimed at improving the efficiency of small and medium-sized companies as a result of digitalization, the introduction of domestic cloud solutions. We are talking, for example, about software that automates business processes (ERP), customer interactions (CRM), etc. The idea is simple: demanded software products will be twice cheaper for SMEs (the difference in price is compensated by the ministry to the developer at the expense of the budget). Nothing additional will be required from the entrepreneur himself, no forms will be needed to be filled out, there will be no reporting, the only condition is to be in the register of SMEs maintained by the Federal Tax Service of Russia (ofd.nalog.ru ). 7 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of this support measure by the end of 2024," said Maxim Parshin, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Finance of Russia.

"The support measure will allow thousands of entrepreneurs to legally use high-quality Russian software. In total, we will be able to offer companies more than 400 thousand licenses for cloud software at a reduced cost. This not only encourages companies to switch to domestic IT products, but also through digital transformation will expand and scale their business," said Alexander Pavlov, CEO of the Russian Information Technology Development Fund.
