The All-Russian Population Census has started in Tatarstan

On October 15, a press conference dedicated to the launch of the All-Russian Population Census in the Republic was held in Tatarstastat. The briefing was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of the Department of Socio-Economic Monitoring Roman Amirkhanov.

In his speech, Roman Amirkhanov noted the importance of the census, outlined the need for every Tatarstan citizen to participate in the event. "The census makes it possible to assess how the number, composition and living conditions of the population have changed over 10 years, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the socio-economic policy. Participation in the census of every citizen is important and necessary," the Deputy Minister added.

The Deputy Minister informed about Tatarstan's readiness for the census. "Thanks to the effective coordination and well-coordinated work of municipalities, departments, institutes of the Republic of Tatarstan, the preparatory period is fully completed," Roman Amirkhanov stressed.

The All-Russian Population Census will be held from October 15 to November 14. There are three ways to take part in it: when the scribe comes home, at stationary sites and independently fill out a questionnaire on the public services portal.

Tatarstan residents will answer 33 questions, of which 23 relate to socio-demographic characteristics: gender, age, citizenship, place of birth, nationality, language proficiency, education, number of children, source of livelihood. 7108 scribes will work in Tatarstan, they will go around all households.
