Tatarstan is among the leaders in increasing the volume of purchases from SMEs

According to the results of the first half of the year, small business entities of Russia signed contracts with state-owned companies for 1.9 trillion rubles, Tatarstan accounts for about 80 billion rubles, which makes it one of the leaders among Russian regions in terms of the growth of purchases from SMEs.

Among the leaders are also Moscow (650.74 billion rubles), St. Petersburg (186.37 billion rubles), Moscow (112.81 billion rubles) and Sverdlovsk (69.88 billion rubles) regions. This is stated in the message of the SME Corporation. According to Alexander Isaevich, General Director of the SME Corporation, as part of the updated strategy, the Corporation is ready to increase the volume of purchases from SMEs to 5.1 trillion rubles by 2025.

According to the results of the first six months of 2021, 79 thousand small and medium-sized businesses (an increase of 9 thousand companies, +13.5%) signed contracts with 1.842 largest customers for 1.9 trillion rubles. If we compare the results of the first half of the year with the same period in 2020, the increase in the volume of purchases amounted to 339 billion rubles (+ 22.2%), the number of contracts increased by almost 25 thousand (+12.8%). SME Corporation (VEB.RF Group) monitors compliance with the established quota for purchases from the largest customers, currently it is 20%.

Let us recall that President Vladimir Putin instructed to ensure that amendments are made to the legislation by July 1, providing for an increase in the total annual volume of purchases of goods, works, services from SMEs to at least 25% of the total volume of all purchases. The deadline for payment should also be reduced from 15 working days to 7 working days.

The range of purchases from SMEs has been expanded compared to 2020 from 489 thousand to 520 thousand positions. The average cost of the contract is estimated at 8.52 million rubles. Among the leaders in the volume of purchases from SMEs in 2021 among the largest customers are: OAO "Russian Railways" (90.76 billion rubles), PAO Sberbank (66.76 billion rubles), PAO "Rostelecom" (49.82 billion rubles), AO "RZDstroy" (45.47 billion rubles), OOO "Gazprom complete set" (41.46 billion rubles).

As part of the national project to support entrepreneurship, the volume of purchases from SME companies by the end of 2021 should reach 4.1 trillion rubles, and in the future until 2024 – 5 trillion rubles. The national project involves the creation of a comprehensive system of acceleration of SMEs, including by providing access to procurement of the largest customers.
