Projects of entrepreneurs from Tatarstan are recognized as the best social projects of the year

Two projects from Tatarstan became the winners of the VI All-Russian competition "The Best social project of the year". The competition was held in 12 categories, a project from the republic became the winner in the nomination "The best project of social entrepreneurship in the field of social services", another Tatarstan initiative was awarded a special nomination of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation "The best social project created by a woman".

The competition is one of the projects of the presidential platform "Russia – the land of opportunities" and is implemented by the RSSU together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation with the support of the SMP Bank and the Fund for Regional Social Programs "Our Future". In the 2019-2020 season, more than 1.600 social entrepreneurship projects from different regions of Russia took part in it.

In addition, the Competition acts as an indicator of the development of social entrepreneurship in the regions of Russia, bringing together the entrepreneurial, expert and managerial community. It is worth noting that the Republic of Tatarstan and the Moscow Region were the only regions awarded the title of "the best" in several categories at once.

Thus, the "Best project of social entrepreneurship in the field of social services" was the Tatarstan network of boarding houses for the elderly, people with disabilities and disabled people "Good stories". The premises of the boarding house are designed in such a way that representatives of low-mobility groups of the population can move comfortably and conveniently. In addition to the necessary medical equipment for the recovery of wards, the boarding house has certified means of assistance in moving around the territory (handrails, strollers, walkers). For guests whose health condition does not allow them to move, specialized bathrooms and functional beds with anti-bedsore mattresses are prepared.

Another initiative of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted at the federal level and awarded a special prize "The best social project created by a woman", was a special-purpose sewing workshop ofDalia Gainanova on creating "special" clothing for children and adolescents with disabilities. The workshop allows you to provide children and adolescents with special needs with clothing that corresponds to their physical parameters, age and characteristics. Specialized clothing makes life easier for parents and children, reduces the time of dressing and changing clothes, gives a beautiful, aesthetic appearance, is convenient for rehabilitation, in everyday wear, as well as after operations.

In addition, the project is aimed at teaching parents simple skills of sewing special clothes in the simplest versions at home. For this purpose, on the basis of the sewing workshop, training in the skills of sewing knitwear is organized in order to master a new labor specialty, as well as the opportunity to sew clothes for their children themselves.

The Competition helps to attract the attention of executive and legislative authorities at different levels, medium and large businesses, public organizations and the media to the activities of social entrepreneurs and Social Innovation Centers, as well as to identify and replicate the best regional practices of social entrepreneurship that have achieved results in solving social problems.

It is worth noting that the assistance and recommendations in the registration of an application for participation in the Competition are provided by the structure subordinate to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan – the Center for Innovations in the Social Sphere. The Center also continues to accept applications and documents from Tatarstan businesses for joining the List of social Enterprises in 2021. 

Business entities included in the List can count on additional opportunities to receive financial and non-financial support, including a preferential microloan "Social Entrepreneur" at a rate equal to ½ of the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and grants for doing business up to 500 thousand rubles.
