Tatarstan has offered Yakutia a new tool to sell products

10 June 2021, Thursday

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan-Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a meeting with the delegation of Yakutia headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Mikhail Nikiforov. The meeting was held with the aim to exchange experience and successful practices of socio-economic development and public administration in the two regions.

In particular, during the business meeting, the participants reviewed the best regional practice of generating demand and stimulating sales of products – the Regional Marketing Center of the Republic of Tatarstan (hereinafter – RMC). The RMC is an effective tool for promoting and selling products of local producers in the domestic and foreign markets.

The functionality of the Center is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted sales of products of Tatarstan entrepreneurs. It also promotes the development of a competitive environment that provides income from deliveries to as many entrepreneurs as possible, allowing them to purchase on equal terms with sustainably profitable partners.

To date,  thanks to the resource, more than 2 thousand SMEs have received orders for more than 15.5 billion rubles (for 2020-2021).

Let us recall that the digital tool began to function as part of a project to create a system for promoting products produced inside of the region. According to the concept, Tatarstan should be able to redirect local producers to non-occupied investment niches, where products are produced outside the republic.

In turn, the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Trade and Tourism of YakutiaIrina Vysokykh spoke about the main advantages of the Far Eastern Federal District region – jewelry production, food, meat delicacies, fur products, national dishes and northern fish. Yakut manufacturers sell their products through their own regional marketplace.

Yakov Geller, the head of the State Order Agency, on the basis of which the RMC operates, invited representatives of Yakutia to register in the Republican Marketing Center as suppliers to expand potential sales areas of Yakut products and find new customers outside the Republic of Sakha.

In conclusion, the parties discussed the possibility of introducing a Republican marketing center in Yakutia.
