The national project helped the self-employed citizen from Kazan to start a business

A young mother on maternity leave, Elvira Salimova, registered as self-employed less than a year ago. While on maternity leave, she decided to completely change her life, left hired labor and opened her own business – a mini-production of children's clothing fabrication. She masterfully combined child care with working on a sewing machine. The owner of her own brand "Unish" shared the story of her success.

The aspiring businesswoman was only short of money. She was able to receive financial support from the state – a preferential loan was issued in the Entrepreneurship Support Fund, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. This was the first step on the way to a new business – a clothing business from scratch. Let us recall, that in our country and the republic, the self-employed can take advantage of preferential microfinance for business development under the "Small and medium-sized enterprises and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative" national project.

The idea to open a clothing business appeared after the birth of a child. Elvira started everything from scratch. A young mother diversified her maternity routine with a new occupation – she started sewing pants and hoodies for her young son.  Elvira says that she graduated from the courses of cutting and sewing, where she learned the main stages, and then improved herself watching YouTube; sketches and patterns were found on the Internet. She liked to choose beautiful images for the child, her baby looked stylish. First, I updated my child's wardrobe, and then I decided to sew and sell it. I posted a photo of a couple of things sewn on Instagram and people bought them.

"It was important for me to create stylish and high-quality things for the child, like those that are sold in mass markets, only cheaper," said Elvira. – Also, my goal was to create not just clothes for children, but a brand that will carry the idea of a conscious attitude to clothing and shopping in general – you do not need to clutter the house with a large number of children's clothes, even if there are just few things in the wardrobe, but they will be high-quality and practical."

Elvira received a microloan from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in the amount of 200 thousand rubles for 24 months. With the money she received, she bought fabrics and accessories. The young mother told about the advantages of the received microloan.

"For me, it was a huge support, while I have not yet spent it," admits Elvira. – I still use it, because everything is in progress, it is not a quick process. However, certain fruits are already there."

With the money received, Elvira was able to sew a collection of clothes for boys and girls from 3 to 5 years old, with which she plans to take part in the festival of young designers "Open Space Market" on June 6 in Kazan. She sees this as a new stage in her life as an entrepreneur.

By the way, the young mother is expecting a second child, but is not going to stop production. After all, selling things made of high-quality fabrics is a really profitable idea, which she plans to develop further. Moreover, there is a demand for her products.

Elvira Salimova presented her project to the President of the Republic of TatarstanRustam Minnikhanov during his meeting with the business community of Tatarstan, which took place in Nizhnekamsk on May 26 in "Carpet" youth center. The President noted the diligence of the mother, who, despite the complexity of caring for the child, was able to open her own business and wished her further success.

We remind that, according to the terms of the program of "Self-employed" preferential microfinance, the loan rate is from 1/2 of the key rate of the Bank of Russia, established on the date of conclusion of the microloan agreement (when operating in single-industry towns of the republic), in the presence of pledge collateral, the rate is equal to the key Central Bank of the Russian Federation, effective on the date of conclusion of the microfinance agreement, in the absence of collateral – 6%.

For citizens who meet the requirements of the program, up to 500 thousand rubles are available for a period of 3 to 24 months for any expenses justified by the borrowers, necessary for the implementation of activities, the income from which is subject to the "Self-employment tax".

Applications for preferential microfinance are accepted by the Business Support Fund, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The application can also be submitted through the "MPSC for Business" or regional representatives of the Fund, represented in almost all municipalities of the republic. Contact information for regional representatives can be found on the website https://fpprt.ru / in the Center "My business" section or call the FPP RT hotline (843)524-90-90.
