In June, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan will start accepting applications from municipalities for participation in the All-Russian competition "Best Municipal Practice". Upon completion of the "moderation", the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan will send 10 selected projects in the category "Municipal Economic Policy and Municipal Finance Management" to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The winners will be determined by the competition commission, which is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
The All-Russian competition "Best Municipal Practice" has been held among urban and municipal districts, as well as rural settlements since 2017. In 2021, the prize fund of the contest will amount to 1 billion rubles. The money will be distributed among the 50 winners: the winners from among the city and municipal districts and settlements will receive subsidies in the amount of 10 million to 50 million rubles, rural settlements – from 3 million to 20 million rubles.
Tatarstan has been participating in the competition for the best municipal practices since its establishment in 2017. During this time, its winners in various categories were localities located in 5 municipal districts – Laishevsky, Chistopol, Bavlinsky, Muslyumovsky and Mamadyshsky. In particular, last year Mamadysh became the winner in the nomination "Providing effective feedback to residents of municipalities, developing territorial public self-government and involving citizens in the implementation of local self-government in other forms". And the Isergapovsky rural settlement of the Bavlinsky district was awarded the second place in the nomination "Urban planning policy, ensuring a favorable living environment for the population and the development of housing and communal services".
