The Ministry of Economy has formed a traditional rating of socio-economic development of municipal districts and urban districts of the Republic of Tatarstan based on the results of the first quarter of 2021.

In the overall rating for January-March of this year, the leading positions were taken by Almetyevsky municipal district (1st place), in second place the city of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk municipal district closes the top three leaders (3rd place).

Aksubaevsky and Buinsky municipal districts significantly increased in the rating – on 7 and 6 positions, respectively. The positive dynamics is due to a decrease in the unemployment rate and an increase in the volume of value added and investment in fixed assets.

In general, as of April 1, 2021, the registered unemployment rate in the republic was 1.29%. It is worth noting that the indicator continues to decline, since as of March 1 of this year it was 1.5%. In 37 municipalities, this indicator remains below the national average. The lowest level of unemployment was recorded in Aktanyshsky (0.23%), Buinsky (0.39%) and Laishevsky (0.41%) municipal districts, the largest – in Nurlatsky (2.24%), Pestrechinsky (2.06%) municipal districts and Kazan (1.88%).

On a per capita basis, the volume of products shipped in the republic averaged 210.85 thousand rubles, among the municipalities of the republic, the highest results in this indicator are demonstrated by Almetyevsk (1347.7 thousand rubles), Nizhnekamsk (566.4 thousand rubles) and Novosheshminsky (498.1 thousand rubles) municipal districts.

In terms of the volume of housing commissioned in the first quarter, the leaders are Pestrechinsky (2.177 square meters), Laishevsky (1.271 square meters) and Vysokogorsky (0.883 square meters) districts. In total, in January-March of this year, the total area of commissioned residential buildings in Tatarstan amounted to 0.229 square meters per capita.
