The Republic of Tatarstan entered the TOP-3 regions of Russia in terms of the number of industrial and technoparks

For the first time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has published official statistics on the development of industrial parks and industrial technoparks in Russia. According to the results of 2020, the Republic of Tatarstan took the 2nd place among 85 subjects of the Russian Federation, second only to the Moscow Region. In total, there are 23 industrial parks and 4 technoparks in the republic.

The Republic of Tatarstan pays considerable attention to the development of industrial parks. The total investment in the construction of the park infrastructure is more than 10 billion rubles. The revenue of residents of industrial parks exceeds 150 billion rubles a year. 21.000 new jobs have been created in industrial parks. The most successful are the industrial parks Alabuga, Khimgrad, KIP Master.

In 2020, 29 new resident plants were attracted to the industrial parks of the Republic of Tatarstan.  In particular, such significant projects were implemented as: a joint project with the state corporation Rosatom to create the first polyacrylonitrile fiber plant in Russia for the MS-21 aircraft with a volume of private investment in equipment of 6.9 billion rubles. Launch of the plant for the production of plant protection products "August-Alabuga" with a volume of private investment of 4.8 billion rubles.

Statistics for 2020 were collected using the geoinformation system of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia (www.gisip.ru) by filling in the personal data of the park management companies, the accuracy of which was verified by the Association of Industrial Parks of Russia and the Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia, the data were published on the official website of Rosstat. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, together with Rosstat, agreed on 16 statistical indicators of the activities of industrial parks and industrial technoparks and developed a unified methodology for their calculation.

For reference: According to the results of 2020, the number of existing and created industrial parks in Russia amounted to 258 objects. Over the past year, 807 new companies with more than 9.300 employees were located on their territory. The volume of extra-budgetary investments of residents in the opening of new production facilities in 2020 amounted to more than 181 billion rubles. Despite the difficulties caused by restrictions during the pandemic in 2020, it was possible to prevent a significant drop in the investment volume of park residents (a decrease of 16% compared to 2019).

The number of existing and newly created industrial technology parks amounted to 73 objects, the total area of which reached more than 1.7 million square meters of prepared areas provided with municipal, transport and technological infrastructure (engineering centers, clean rooms, centers for collective use of equipment, etc.)
