The Government of the Russian Federation launches a subsidy program when employing jobless citizens

The meeting of the working group on the implementation of the Action Plan for Ensuring Sustainable Economic Development was held at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The members of the working group, consisting of the executive bodies of state authority representatives and municipalities of the republic, discussed subsidizing employers who give jobs to unemployed citizens and measures to stabilize the prices of sugar and sunflower oil.

In particular, this refers to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 362 dd. March 13, 2021, according to which Russian employers will be able to receive a subsidy for the employment of unemployed citizens. The employer will be able to receive state support for the employment of citizens who were registered in employment centers before January 1, 2021.

The subsidy will be equal to three minimum wages, increased by the district coefficient, the amount of insurance premiums and the number of employed citizens. With that, the organization will receive the first payment in a month after the unemployed person has received a job, the second – in three months, and the third – in six months. Detailed information on the rules for providing support is stipulated in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 362 dd. March 13, 2021.

It was also noted that this week a decision was made at the federal level on additional measures to stabilize prices for sugar and sunflower oil.

In order to further maintain retail prices at a level acceptable to citizens, the FAS of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation will hold prompt consultations with businesses to extend agreements on reducing and maintaining prices: for white sugar – for two months, for sunflower oil – until October 2021. In the current agreements, the selling price of enterprises for white sugar is 36 rubles per 1 kg, retail price is 46 rubles per 1 kg, sunflower oil – 95 and 110 rubles per 1 liter, respectively.

The need for timely monitoring of the participation of enterprises and organizations of the republic in "FOT 3.0" program was also mentioned at the meeting.
