A strategic session dedicated to the development of export oriented SME in the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the "House of Entrepreneurs". The main objective of the event was to develop effective tools to support exporters and exchange best practices with other entrepreneurs of the country.
The strategic session was held in the format of round tables, formed to discuss problematic issues and develop measures to support export oriented entrepreneurs. Representatives of the state sector, municipalities, public organizations, existing and potential exporters were divided into 3 groups in order to develop solutions that will later be included in the Roadmap for Export Development in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The roadmap, in turn, provides for measures to improve support institutions (including infrastructure), as well as tasks that need to be addressed at various stages of export maturity of SME.
The key speakers were experts from other regions of Russia, stating the best practices already operating in other regions.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities, Lena Izotova, informed that the Republic of Bashkortostan is implementing three programs of financial support for exporters in the form of subsidies to compensate for part of the costs of transporting goods abroad, etc.. In addition, Maxim Ostapenko, the General Director of the Export Support Center of the Smolensk Region, ANCO, shared his experience in finding foreign buyers with those present. Valeria Antonenko reported on export acceleration, as a tool to support enterprises in order to successfully enter foreign markets, as well as on the features of industry-specific export acceleration in Udmurtia.
According to the results of the strategic session, together with representatives of the business community, it was possible to form proposals for assistance in assessing the export potential of the company, compensation for the costs of temporary storage warehouses abroad, as well as part of the logistics costs for export deliveries.
The issue of promoting the products of exporters became one of the key issues in the formation of the roadmap – promotion of products to foreign markets, advertising, strengthening the work with trade missions, subsidizing online exhibitions, organizational assistance in establishing representative offices abroad, creating bases with foreign contractors – formed the basis for the decisions developed at the round tables.
As a result of the strategic session, a roadmap for the development of export oriented SME in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2021-2022 will be developed.
